User items are required for setting responsible persons on asset configuration item and in many other items.
Usually user items are created and updated automatically based on Microsoft Active Directory connector information. For example, users that are removed from Active Directory, are automatically set to retired status in Miradore after seven days of removal from AD.
If users are locked in the system settings, this form cannot be edited.
In the connector settings at "Administration > System settings > Connectors > AD connector item page, it is possible to enable/disable the import of user objects from Microsoft Active Directory.

Backup account > Enable account |
This task creates or enables an Endpoint backup user account for this user. Once the account has been enabled, the user will receive a notification e-mail containing instructions and a link to change password. The language of the notification email can be selected in a popup window which opens when the task is performed. An Endpoint backup user account is required if Endpoint backup is configured to use Miradore authentication to authenticate users who want to run Endpoint backup jobs which store data on Endpoint backup servers over HTTP(S). An optional authentication method to Miradore authentication is Microsoft Active Directory-based authentication. See Endpoint backup feature and Endpoint backup end-user instructions for more information. |
Backup account > Disable account |
This task disables this user's Endpoint backup account. Once user’s account has been disabled, the user cannot authenticate him or herself and thus isn't able to run backup jobs which store backup data on Endpoint backup servers over HTTP(S). |
Backup account > Reset password |
This task starts the password reset workflow for this user. Once the password reset task has been performed, the user will receive a notification e-mail containing instructions and a link to change password. The language of the notification email can be selected in a popup window which opens when the task is performed. |
Assign mailbox policy |
This task can be used to assign an ActiveSync mailbox policy to the user. Just run the task and select the desired mailbox policy from the popup window that is opened. Then press OK to assign the policy to the user. The popup window displays all ActiveSync mailbox policies that Miradore's Exchange ActiveSync connector has read from the Microsoft Exchange server. The inventoried mailbox policies are also listed on the Exchange ActiveSync mailbox policies view which provides links to ActiveSync mailbox policy items which contain more detailed information about the policies. |
Export user data |
This task is used to download the user data to an XML file. This is not available to the readers or those in "Deny user listing" -group. More information from the article "Exporting GDPR related user data". |
