Miradore Endpoint backup provides an easy way to provide backup services for managed computers using Miradore. Endpoint backup is an optional feature, which can be enabled and disabled from the system settings of Miradore. By default, the Endpoint backup feature is disabled after the installation of Miradore Management Suite.
Enables backup and restore of files and/or folders located at managed computers.
Administrators can manage backup jobs and follow backup status of all applicable devices centrally on the management console of Miradore Management Suite.
Backup files can be configured to be stored to local or network file system (e.g. local drive, USB drive, or NAS device) or to Endpoint backup servers over HTTP/HTTPS protocol.
File extension filters can be used to define which files should be included in or excluded from the backup (e.g. backup only files which have .exe or .pdf suffix).
Administrators can scope backup jobs to devices by device name, device role, contract, device usage, location, organisation, operating system category, and hardware category.
Administrators can define backups jobs to be mandatory (e.g. force backup job for company files).
Administrators can allow Endpoint backup users to create their own backup jobs using Endpoint backup client, which is integrated into Miradore clients (Windows, Linux, and OS X).
Backup jobs can be configured to run at regular intervals around the clock, or once per day during a given backup time window.
Backed up files can be restored to original or to some other location by Administrator or end-user (using Endpoint backup client).
Backed up files can be restored from any device that the end-user has active backup jobs for (using Endpoint backup client).
A minimum data transfer rate can be defined for the backup jobs to prevent data transfers over very slow connections.
Rules for maximum bandwidth consumption can be defined to prevent use of all the available network bandwidth when transferring the backup files to the backup destination.
Only changed parts of Microsoft Outlook archive files (Personal Storage Table, PST files) are copied from backup source to destination. This conserves network bandwidth usage as size of the PST files can be up to several gigabytes.
Authentication for Endpoint backup users, who store backup files to backup servers over HTTP(S)
Endpoint backup client has a built-in multi-language support for 16 languages, which allows end-users to use the Endpoint backup on their preferred language.
