Software installation request workflow

About

Miradore software installation request workflow is used for automating the process of requesting software, approval, and installation. The request is done using Miradore self service portal from the computer where software is needed.

Approval workflow settings

Approval workflow can be configured for each installation package separately on the Package item form > Self service portal settings. Check Package item attributes for more information about the different settings.

How it works

If package approval workflow is enabled, then an email notification will be automatically sent to the defined approvers when an end-user requests the installation of that package. The approver(s) can then either allow or deny the package installation request. If approver denies the request, the workflow will close and software will not be installed. On the other hand, Miradore Client performs the package installation if the package installation request gets approved.

The request-approval-install process includes following steps
