Workflows can be escalated to other users than those defined in the package settings. This might be in order, for example, if one of the approvers doesn’t react to the request in a fashionable time and the workflow is halted.
To escalate a request to another approver:
Navigate to the workflow form (Operations > Software management > Installations status > Approval workflow)
Click “Escalate…” and select the user you want to escalate the request to
Note, that the user must have an email address configured in Miradore
The user you’ve selected will be included into this workflow’s approvers and will receive an approval request via email. The approver you escalated the request from can no longer approve or deny the request.
Note! To escalate an installation request you must have operator access or higher to the device into which the software is requested to be installed. See System permissions for more information.
