How to approve/deny a request

If you are defined as an approver for a package installation, you’ll receive software installation approval requests by email. This will happen when someone requests, via the self service portal, a software package to be installed.

The approval request email consists of general information about the request and has a link to a web page in Miradore management console at which you’ll have the ability to either approve or deny the installation and optionally give comments about your decision. At the approval page, you can also see the approval decisions of previous approvers in the workflow.

Steps to approve/deny after receiving a request:

  1. Enter to Miradore management console using the link in the email

  2. Check request information

    • Who requested the installation

    • What software is requested

    • Device where installing

    • Comments from previous approvers in the workflow, comments from the requester

  3. Either approve or deny the request by clicking on the corresponding button

    • If you approve the installation and there are no approvers defined after you, the software will be installed automatically. Otherwise, the request will be sent to the next approver.

    • If you deny the request, the workflow will be terminated. The requester will be informed about this via email.
