Asset data mismatch view

About

This view lists details of assets that have mismatching information between the asset configuration items and inventory reports. The asset data mismatch feature compares manually maintained asset data to automatically collected inventory information and helps keeping, for instance, asset's location and responsible person up-to-date.

You can use the view tools (Tasks > Tools > Data mismatch) to resolve new asset data mismatches.

This view supports reporting mismatches in the following asset's attributes: IMEI, Location, Phone number, Responsible person, Serial number and UDID. The use of mismatch attributes can be configured from Main > Asset management > Workflows > Asset data mismatch attributes in the System settings. By default, the asset data mismatch feature is disabled.

Did you know?

Miradore analyzes each device's inventory information and suggests the user with most logins to be the device's responsible person.

If you know that a device's responsible person is about to change soon, it is recommended to clear the asset's "Last logged in users" inventory information, because otherwise Miradore will generate a data mismatch report where it suggests the old user as the device's responsible person. You can clear asset inventories through the "Tasks" menu at the Asset configuration item.

Event monitoring can be configured to send alerts from an asset data mismatches. There is also a quality index indicator "Asset data mismatch" that can be used with quality index reports.

Notice that this view doesn't, by default, show such mismatching attributes that have been acknowledged. If you want to see the acknowledged asset data mismatches, you should clear the view filters. Acknowledged mismatch reports won't appear to the view again.

By default, Miradore uses the default invitation messages that are defined in "System settings > Clients > Enrollment and upgrade > Mobile device enrollment settings" in the management console of Miradore.

Miradore uses device responsible person's email or phone number to send the device enrollment invitation message to selected devices.

Notice that the length of the SMS invitation message can be restricted by the SMS service that is used to send SMS messages from Miradore to mobile devices.
