Automation task item

About

All administrators can access the Automation tasks view where they can manage Automation task items. Other users are not allowed to do that by default. Editors however, can be permitted to access Automation tasks view and manage Automation task items by adding them to the "Report builders" user group.

The automation task items can be used to:

The automation task "Miradore built-in history data collector" collects and stores historical data about the managed environment to be used in dashboard widgets for reporting purposes.

Event log

All events related to this item are recorded and represented here.

Analyze

Analyze tab provides a history log which shows when the Automation task has been run and whether is has completed or failed. Click on the results for more details.

You can find the settings for this log from the "Administration > System settings > Main > Event log settings > Automation tasks". There you can set the minimum level of events that should be written to the event log, and also you can define the storage time for the logs.

Hitting the button at the rightmost end of the field clears the entire event log for all Automation task items.

Task

Description

Change status > Activate

This task activates the selected Automation task item(s).

At least one action (either Send email report or Install/Uninstall package) must be configured for the Automation task item before it can be activated.

Only active Automation task items deploy packages and send scheduled reports by email.

Change status > Deactivate

This task disables the selected Automation task item(s).

Print

This task prints the page contents.

Remove

This task removes the selected Automation task item(s) permanently from Miradore Management Suite.

Administrators and Editors have permission to use this task.
