Asset groups are used to group together asset configuration items. See About asset groups for more information.

Analyze |
Analyze tab displays all Asset configuration items that are members of this asset group. Members of possible child groups are not shown here. You can remove assets from the asset group by using the "Remove from group" option provided in the Tasks menu. Notice that members of dynamic asset group are updated automatically by a system task "Dynamic asset groups" with an interval of 24 hours. If you want to get them updated sooner, use the "Update dynamic group members" tool that can be found from the Tasks menu of Asset group item. For static asset groups, you can assign members manually from the Assets by name view. Check Modifying the members of an asset group for more information. |

Change status > Activate / Deactivate |
Use this task to change the status of the Asset group item. Only Administrators and Editors have permissions to create, activate, and modify asset groups. |
Remove from group |
This task is available in the Tasks menu of the Analyze > Assets tab. Administrators and Editors can use it for removing assets from static asset groups. For more information, read Removing assets from static asset groups. |
Update dynamic group members |
This task updates the members of this asset group according to the defined asset filters. This task is only available for dynamic asset groups. |
