Prerequisites before starting

• to understand the installation point topology

• to understand the installation point directory structure

Main steps when adding support for a new asset model

1. Create the asset model item if not existing already.

2. Create the asset configuration item of the new model.

3. Start the initial installation and press 'No' when asking for 'Continue with automatic installation?'

4. From the installation menu, choose 1. Start Miradore installation

5. Check the "Devices with driver missing" section. In case there are missing drivers:

   

   1. Download correct driver

   2. Copy the driver to the HUB installation point (see, directory structure)

   3. Log on to the HUB installation point > launch Command Prompt > Navigate to the Drivers directory

   4. Run GetDrivers.cmd

   5. Restart the initial installation and perform steps described above

Notice that Miradore does not perform a driver scan or install drivers for Linux devices during initial installation. Therefore, driver management for Linux devices, must be done manually.
