Asset model item

About

The asset model item is the definition for a single hardware or virtual model. The unique asset model item is made of three attributes: Manufacturer, model and type. In Miradore, an asset model has a predefined life cycle. Information given for an asset model item is for example manufacturer, model name, model type, and warranty. Default initial installation settings can be configured to an asset model such as default packages and video settings.

If an inventory scan is run or the Miradore client is installed to a computer which model does not exist in Miradore, the  asset model item is created automatically. The automatic generation of asset configuration items can be disabled from the System settings
