System recovery is a process that can be used to restore a computer to the state where it was after initial installation. During a system recovery, the computer's operating system, applications, and configurations are reinstalled from the latest backup image. If the backup image doesn't exist or it has been deleted or corrupted, the recovery is not possible.
Notice that all the configuration changes done after the system backup was created will be lost when a computer is restored.
In Miradore, there is a system package (Miradore Create Recovery Partition) which can be attached to automated initial installation of a computer in order to create a recovery partition to a hard drive of the computer. If Miradore Create Recovery Partition package has been attached to the initial installation of a computer, a recovery partition will be automatically created to the computer's hard drive at the end of the initial installation. The recovery partition can be then used to restore the computer to it's original state if a system crash or some other issues occur and prevent the normal usage of the computer.
See Attaching packages to configuration items to learn how packages can be included to initial installation.
Miradore system recovery feature supports Windows operating systems starting from Vista.
Information about Miradore recovery partition is shown at the "Logical disks" field at computer's Hardware inventory report tab on asset configuration item page if a recovery partition has been created for the computer.
Starting from Miradore Management Suite 4.5.0, it is possible to create a recovery partition although a computer's system drive would have Bitlocker encryption enabled. However, earlier Miradore Management Suite versions don't support creating recovery partitions for computers with the Bitlocker encryption enabled.
