Package items are used in Miradore installations management. Package is a collection of automated actions which Miradore client executes to perform administrative tasks on target computer. These tasks may be for example installing, modifying, uninstalling software or configuring target computer's operating system.
Notice! If a package is imported into Miradore version 2.9.0 from any older version of Miradore, the package must be saved after import. Otherwise, the package may not function correctly.

Activate |
This task activates the package. Only active packages can be distributed to managed assets using Miradore Management Suite. Users in the role of administrator or package approver have permissions to activate package items. Before activating new packages, make sure to test them thoroughly. For more information about the package deployment, please read Package distribution. |
Archive |
A package can be set to status "Archived" when it is needed no more. In this status, it cannot be installed anymore, it is only listed in database view to record package history. Before archiving a package check the bindings page to see where the package is being used. In case an archived package needs to be activated again, choose "Request activation" or "Activate" through the Package item's Tasks menu. |
Deactivate |
In case an activated package needs to be moved back to status "Under construction", choose Deactivate on the package item page. |
Export package |
Export package. For more information see Exporting and importing packages. |
Request activation |
Newly created packages are in "Under construction" status in Miradore Management Suite. Only active packages can be distributed to managed assets using Miradore Management Suite. After a new package has been tested thoroughly, you can use this task to request the activation of the Package. A notification email will be sent to specified user(s) if Package approval notifications are enabled in "Administration > System settings > Approval process notifications > Package approval request". |
Remove |
This task removes the package item from Miradore Management Suite permanently. |
