Exporting and importing packages

Miradore allows flexible exchange of software packages between separate Miradore implementations via package import and export functionality. Packages can be exported from source environment into a XML  file which can then be imported into other environments.

Managed software is exported and imported with the package and it is created in import if it doesn't already exist. If managed software already exists, but its status is not 'Active', it is activated. Package is created always in import. If a previous version of same package exists, imported package's version is set to next available number.

Exporting a software package

  1. Navigate to 'Operations > Software management > Packages

  2. Open Software Package you want to export by clicking it.

  3. Select 'Tasks > Export package' from the page toolbar.

  4. If exported package has an active uninstall package, Miradore asks if you want to include it to export. Click OK if you want to do so, Cancel otherwise.

  5. Select Save from appearing File Download window.

  6. Select Directory and enter file name on appearing Save As window.

Importing software packages

  1. Navigate to 'Operations > Software management > Packages

  2. Click 'Import' from 'Tasks' menu
