An operating system item is used to store information about operating system. It contains general OS information and, if it is used in initial installations, required installation parameters such as media path and OS license key.

Analyze >Identified assets |
This view displays the assets that are using the operating system. By clicking the "Show history" link next to view tools, you can see a bar graph about operating systems in use per hardware category. The graph can be sorted by day, week, or month. |
Analyze > Installation log |
This view shows an installation log of the operating system. Use this view to see when the operating system has been installed and whereto it has been installed. You can also click the "show history" link next to view tools to see historical data of total amount of initial installations of this operating system by per month. |
Analyze > Supported asset models |
Here you can see information about driver situation on different asset models that have assets with this operating system assigned for initial installation. |

Copy bindings |
This is used to copy bindings from some existing operating system. The bindings can only be copied to operating systems that are not active. |
Remove |
Removes the operating system. Notice that you may first have to remove the bindings to installation packages before you can remove the operating system. You can see the bindings from the Operating system item's Bindings tab. You may then remove the bindings through the Packages view by first selecting the packages in the view, and then choosing "Tasks > Edit attributes > Remove supported OS..." from the view toolbar. |
