About
This view lists and allows configuration of custom tools for use with assets and user accounts. These tools can for example run simple commands or install packages. The tools can be accessed in the asset/user configuration item page from Tasks > Custom tools.
When a custom tool is created its status is "Under construction" which means that it is like a test version of the tool and can only be used by administrators. Editors can create and remove custom tools, but only administrators can activate a custom tool. When activating the tool, its status changes to "Active" after which it can be used by anyone with permissions to custom tools. After removing a custom tool, it receives the status "Retired" and is hidden from all views.
