License compliance by software view

About

This views shows the software license compliance status for each managed software. Click the icon on the left-most column to view details of the license pools which store licenses for the software.

Understanding the status indicators

The following table explains the indicators used to illustrate the license compliance status for each software in the entire managed environment.

  Compliant

Green status icon means that the Managed software is compliant with the license agreement terms. This is true when Identified but not allocated = 0.

In other words, a license has been allocated to all assets or users that require a license according to the licensing rules OR the software is not used in the managed environment at all, according to the software inventory data.

  Not compliant

Red status icon means that the Managed software is probably violating the terms of the software license agreement. In this case, the number of detected software installations or users is greater than the number of allocated licenses.

Please check the license agreement, the license pool, and the demand of licenses.

In order to avoid penalties for software license violations, purchase more licenses and allocate them to the users or assets needing them OR uninstall the installed instances of software that are violating the license agreement.
