This view contains a list of available security patches. The patch list is kept up-to-date with Patch manager.
Through the view's Tasks menu, it is possible to manage patch installation rules for patches.
For more information about approving patches, please read Approving security patches manually.
Notice that the Downloads column shows you the number of patch installation packages per patch that are available for download. The Cached column shows the number of patch installation packages that have been downloaded to the media master installation point already.

Task |
Description |
Tools > Approve patch(es)... |
With this task, administrators and security officers can approve or deny the installation of the patch(es) that are selected from the view. You can also use the "Activate at" field to define a specific calendar day when the security patch approval becomes effective. If you choose a date there, then the approval doesn't come into effect before that. They can approve or deny the installation of the selected patch(es) to asset groups. Asset groups are basically groups of computers, and they can be used to target patch installation rules to groups of computers. For more information, see Applying patches and About asset groups. Notice that, depending on the patch management settings that have been configured in Miradore system settings for patch management, the use of this task may have an affect to what patch installation packages Miradore downloads to installation points. For more information, see System settings for patch management. |
Tools > Download patches |
Running this task will command Miradore to download the patch installation media to the media master installation point. Miradore will download the patch language versions defined in "Administration > System settings > Patch management > Patch download settings > Default languages to download". The "Downloads" table on the Patch item page shows which language versions of the patch Miradore has cached to the media master installation point. From there, you can also manually command Miradore to download additional language versions of the patch media. |
Tools > Hide/unhide patches |
With this task, administrators, editors and security officers can hide selected patch(es) in Miradore. After that, the patch(es) are no more visible, for example, in Security patch status view in the operations console. |
Export |
By default, this task exports all the view contents in the selected file format. However, you can use the check boxes in the view to export selected rows only. You can select rows for the export from one page of the view at a time. The supported file formats for the data export are CSV, Excel, and PDF. In some views, configuration items can be also exported to a group distribution. |
