Upgrading Miradore Endpoint Backup clients
Administrators can manage upgrade settings for Miradore Endpoint Backup clients in "Administration > System settings > Main > Endpoint backup" (picture).
About upgrading
Miradore clients report the managed assets' Endpoint Backup client version to the Miradore server at regular intervals, where the reported client versions are compared to the value of the Latest client version field. If Automatic client upgrade is enabled and it turns out that an asset has an older version of the Endpoint Backup client installed than what is defined in the Latest client version field, then Miradore distributes a client upgrade package from an installation point to the asset.
This means that, when a new version of Miradore Endpoint Backup client becomes available, Miradore administrator needs to update the value of the Latest client version in order to tell the system that there is a new client available at the installation points. The value of Latest client version is never incremented automatically during Miradore instance upgrades or similar.
For example, Miradore Management Suite 5.0.0 includes new Miradore Endpoint Backup client version 6.2.7. Therefore, you need to change the Latest client version to the value 6.2.7 after upgrading to the Miradore Management Suite 5.0.0, or otherwise your Endpoint Backup clients won't get upgraded.
Make sure that the latest client really is available from all of your installation points.
Sometimes a new Endpoint Backup client version may be released independently in between of Miradore Management Suite releases, to introduce fixes to critical bugs, for example. In a case like this, you can download the latest Miradore Endpoint Backup client from Miradore support site and place it to the installation points manually. The correct directories for each platform are described below. Make sure that the client installer gets replicated to all installation points.

Notice that zip must be uncompressed so that each Linux distribution has its own directory.

After you have added the latest installer to the installation points, modify the Latest client version field to match with the added Endpoint Backup client version. In this case, the suitable client version should not be available in the drop-down list, but you can use the Custom version option to input the version number (picture).
