All patch product families are listed in "Administration > Feature settings > Patch management > Security patch families" page.
By default, Miradore displays security patches for all product families.
If some product families are enritely irrelevant to your organization, you can hide all patches released for them. This helps to keep Miradore's user interface cleaner.
In the Security patch product families view, there is a column "Hidden" which displays whether or not the vendor's patches are displayed in Miradore. If the column value is "Yes", it means that the vendor's patches are not shown in Miradore.
Use the checkbox to select product families and then click "Tasks > Tools > Hide/unhide family..." to hide/show all the patches meant for that product family.
Hidden patches are:
excluded from the Security patch status by patch view
not visible in the Asset configuration item's Security patch inventory by default. There is however a checkbox for showing them.
excluded from automatic downloading of missing patches
not processed by automatic patch approval rules
not shown in the "Show matching patches" popup on the Approval rule page
excluded from the calculation of the "Security patches not installed" quality index indicator
excluded when querying InvSecurityPatch/PatchStatusSummary/InvPatchingStatus through Report builder or API
Hidden patches CAN be manually approved for installation.
Hidden patches will be installed if they have been approved for installation.
Notice!
This view is not shown in the navigation menu if patch management is disabled from Miradore's system settings.
