There are two separate tasks that require permissions to the installation point:
Miradore client to read needed files when running packages and package actions.
Installation point replicator to update the content.
Open the root directory properties and go to Sharing tab.
Select Share this folder and type in the share name in the field below. Share name: Setup.
Click button Permissions and tick the Full Control access for Everyone.
Miradore client requires Read and Execute access to the installation point content.
Miradore client permissions can be defined directly for a specific account or indirectly via a security group (domain or local).
The default account and password used by Miradore Clients to connect to the installation points is entered to in "System settings > Main > Installations management > Installation point authentication".
Important note: Pay attention to the user rights of the specified user account. Avoid giving excessive user rights. It is enough if the user account has read permission to the Setup folder in the installation point.
You can define separate default accounts for network shares and http installation points in system settings
You can also specify installation point specific user credentials using the "reader authentication" field on each installation point page. If one has been set it will override the default account entered to system settings.
If you use special characters in the password, only following special characters are allowed `~!@#$%*()-_+:?/.[]{}
Replicator requires Change permissions to the installation point directories in order to be able to update the content.
Replicator permissions can be defined directly for a specific account or indirectly via a security group (domain or local).
