Below is an illustration of the group distribution item life cycle, the equivalent actions in Miradore and the item statuses in different phases of the process
Phase "Waiting for approval" shown in this illustration depends on the System setting for Group distribution approval workflow. Purpose of approval workflow is to eliminate possibility of human errors in selecting distribution settings or distribution targets. Even so in some environments the approval workflow is not feasible, for example if author and approver for the group distribution would be the same person. Disabling group distribution approval workflow in System settings will skip this life cycle phase and proceed directly into approval.
Group distribution author is the person who wants to distribute a package into targets on which he/she has the authority. All users who have the operative permissions in Miradore can create a new group distribution item.
Group distribution approver is a person (or a group) who have the permissions to approve or to reject group distributions created by group distribution authors. The approver's responsibility is to check all the group distribution items before approving. The approver can reject the group distribution items not meeting the requirements or author's permissions.
