Group distribution follow-up

To get an overview of the group distribution status, open the view of group distributions and expand the Status category. Columns for number of targets and installations success / expired / failed / waiting can be used to show the current status of each group distribution.

To get a detailed report of a group distribution open the group distribution item page and click the 'Distribution status' tab.

Distribution report statuses

Status	Description
Waiting	Package installation has not started on these targets. Reasons are for example: target is not online target has not checked in yet due to client polling interval settings target is connected but not from a known network location (if this feature is enabled on group distribution) target has not met allowed time frame criteria
In progress	Package installation has started on these targets and the installation is in progress.
Completed	Package installation on these targets has finished and all package actions have been run successfully.
Failed	Package installation has failed on these targets. If retry is enabled, this status will be shown if: all retries have been used and installation has not been completed successfully in any of them package installation has failed at least once and the group distribution as ended before all retries were used package installation has failed with a return code listed on exception return codes list (this will skip the rest of retries)
Expired	Target that did not check in during the group distribution life time (between start and end time) checked in but where the allowed time frame criteria was not met checked in but where the known network criteria was not met
Cancelled	Targets for which the distribution was cancelled. Cancellation can be done for whole group distribution (all targets) or for only selected targets. Targets in this status have not started the package installation.
Waiting for retry	If retry is enabled and target has already failed in previous package installation attempt, it will have this status until the next retry.
Aborted	Package installation has started on these devices, but it has been aborted via the target’s distribution status dialog (click the link in column Distribution status > choose Abort distribution)

Cost center	Cost center defined on asset configuration item
Current location	Location resolved using last IP address reported by Miradore client on this target
Device name	Device name defined on asset configuration item
Device role	Device role defined on asset configuration item
Distribution status	Group distribution status for this target
End time	Shows the: end time of failed or completed package installation end time of last package installation attempt (if retry enabled) end of distribution lifetime (if distribution expired for a target) time of cancellation (if distribution was cancelled for a target) time of abortion (if package installation was aborted for a target)
Error code	Return code of last failed package installation attempt.
Error output	Error output of last failed package installation attempt.
Free disk space (GB)	Free disk space in GB, based on hardware inventory report.
Hardware category	Hardware category defined on asset configuration item.
Installation duration	Installation duration for last package installation attempt (time between package installation start and end times).
Installation point	Installation point used for package installation on this target.
Last action	Last i.e. failed action of last failed package installation attempt.
Last seen date	Last check in time of Miradore client on this target.
Last seen date (days ago)	Days since previous check in of Miradore client on this target.
Location	Location defined on asset configuration item.
Model	Asset model defined on asset configuration item.
Notices	Notices defined on asset configuration item.
Online status	Online status of Miradore client on this target (as text).
Online status (traffic light)	Client status shown by colored icon.
Operating system	Operating system defined on asset configuration item.
Operating system (inventory)	Operating system of this target based on hardware inventory report.
Organisation	Organisation defined on asset configuration item.
RAM installed (MB)	Amount of installed RAM in MB based on hardware inventory report.
Responsible person	Responsible person defined on asset configuration item.
Retry count	Number of performed retry attempts on this target. Does not include the first attempt before retries. Does not show a value if retry is not enabled.
Start time	Shows the: start time of failed or completed package installation start time of last package installation attempt (if retry enabled) start time of aborted package installation (if package installation was aborted for a target)
Status	Asset status defined on asset configuration item.
Total disk space (GB)	Total disk space in GB based on hardware inventory report.
