Miradore device and driver management enables automatic handling of drivers for different computer models, detection of missing drivers and overall knowledge of used PnP devices and drivers in the environment.
Notice that device and driver management is not supported for Linux devices.
Where is this information collected from
Miradore collects information about PnP devices and drivers from two sources:
From managed computers, Miradore Management Suite inventory scans all connected plug and play devices and their drivers periodically.
From installation points, information what drivers and in what folder they are, is also scanned periodically.
What are the benefits of device and driver management
Know what PnP devices specific computers have
During the initial installation phase the PnP devices are scanned in order to determine the correct drivers required by the installation.
What and where drivers are used. Locate where defective drivers are used.
What drivers are required but missing from installation points
