A popup window showing all matching asset label printing profiles appears when user clicks "Print > Label" from Assets by name or Asset configuration item page. In the Assets by name view, the popup window shows only such asset label printing profiles that match with all the selected asset configuration items.

In this field, you can define a scope using asset's Hardware category, Location, Organisation, and Contract attributes. The scope defines the target assets for this asset label printing profile. For example, if "Hardware category = Desktop OR Laptop, then this asset label printing profile can be only used to print labels for asset's whose hardware category is either desktop or laptop.

If you leave the scope empty, then the asset label printing profile is available for printing asset labels to any asset configuration item.

Left margin

This value determines the size of the label's left margin in millimeters.

Top margin

This value determines the size of the label's top margin in millimeters.

Right margin

This value determines the size of the label's right margin in millimeters.

Bottom margin

This value determines the size of the label's bottom margin in millimeters.

Variable date format

This field defines the date format for %printdate% variable.

Here is a list of variables that can be used to dynamically add content to asset labels:

  • Asset tag

  • Company name

  • Company ID

  • Device name

  • Dispatch number

  • Hardware category

  • Order number

  • Print date

  • Serial number/IMEI code

  • Warranty start date

Label content

Toolbar has several functions for editing and aligning of the text. Note! It is recommended to use the insert table function from the toolbar, because table inside the label helps to structure and align the text fields on the label.

Barcodes

If you wish to print barcode labels, you must install a barcode font to the Miradore server and to the computer which is used to print the labels. After that you are able to design and print labels that use barcode fonts.
