Status |
This field displays the profile status. When new power profile item is created, it is set to status 'New'. The power consumption reports on the power profile item are only calculated if the profile status is active. |
Scope |
The profile scope (Device role & Location) defines the group of assets that are listed on the Target devices tab of power profile item. The tab lists only such assets that match with the profile scope. The tab is used to select the target devices for power profile. |
Main: Power consumption
Attribute name |
Description |
The power consumption report illustrates the power consumption of devices during each day. Moreover, the report shows the consumed energy and energy costs of the devices during each month. For more information, see Power consumption reports. |
Main: Calculate average power consumption (last 30 days)
Attribute name |
Description |
This table allows to calculate power costs and potential savings with imaginary power down settings according to power information data from the last 30 days. Just type in the wake up and power down time and see what kind of power costs you would have had if the settings were applied during the last 30 days. With the help of this tool the savings can be evaluated before implementing the actual power down settings. |
Main: Power down settings
Attribute name |
Description |
Automatic power down |
This field determines whether the automated and scheduled power settings of the power profile are applied to the target devices or not. If disabled, the profile can be used only for analyzing the power consumption of devices that match with the profile scope. |
Included subnets |
Select here the subnets that contain such assets to whom you wish to configure automated power down settings. Also select at least one last man standing device for each of the subnets. Especially in bigger environments having a large amount of managed assets, it is also recommended to select more than one devices as a last man standing device to make sure that there is always at least one computer that is able to send the Wake-on-Lan package to the powered-down computers. |
Power down level |
Selected power down level determines what happens when the target assets are powered down by the power profile. The possible values are: Hibernate - Hibernation is a feature of operating system where content of RAM is written into hard disk before powering off the computer. Power off - Power off will turn off the computer completely. Sleep or Standby - Sleep or Standby is a power saving state that allows a computer to quickly continue full-power operation if necessary. |
Time zone option |
Time zone option allows you to choose whether the power profile uses server's or client's time zone to determine the exact wake up and power down times. |
Schedule: Day |
Wake up and power down times can be defined separately for each day of the week. |
Schedule : Enabled |
Determines whether the wake up and power down actions are enabled on that particular day. If the check box is not checked, waking up and powering down actions are not initiated. |
Schedule: Wake up |
The exact time when the profile target assets are powered on. |
Schedule: Power down |
The exact time when the profile target assets are powered off according to the defined power down level. |
