Item permission item attributes

Attribute name	Description
Item type	This field defines and displays the type of configuration items to which this item permission is applied to. For example, "Asset configuration" means that this item permission item defines users' (defined in Permission holders table) read and write permissions to asset configuration items ( defined in Filters table).
Permission	This field defines the permission type which is granted for users (defined in Permission holders table) by this item. Possible values: Read: A user with read access is able to see configuration items (defined in Item type field and Filters table) in the management console of Miradore. On the other hand, a user without the read access cannot see the defined configuration items in the management views of Miradore. However, the configuration items are still included in the Dashboard reports. Write: A user with write access is able to edit configuration items (defined in Item type field and Filters table) in the management console of Miradore. In addition, the user is allowed to perform tasks for the configuration items (e.g. run group distribution for asset configuration items). On the other hand, a user without a write access is not able to edit defined configuration items or run tasks for them.

Permission filters define the configuration items to which the permission is applied to.

For example, it is possible to use asset group, company name, cost center, device role, location, and organisation to define the desired asset configuration items to which the permission should be applied to.

Notice: The item permission is applied to configuration items which match with all defined filters.

For example, if you create an item permission, which grants a read access to assets in location "Helsinki" and organisation "Sales", then the selected users will get a read access to such asset configuration items which match with the both filters. Users will not get a read access to assets which doesn't match with all the defined filters.
