Host name |
This field displays domain name of the Endpoint backup server computer. If the computer has an asset configuration item in Miradore, some additional information about the computer is listed in this field as well. Host name should be only changed if the backup server's host name has changed and the current value is outdated. |
Display name |
This field contains the Endpoint backup server's display name. The display name is shown to end-users in the Endpoint backup client as a name of the remote backup server. |
Type |
This field shows the type of the endpoint backup server. The options are: "File system" and "HTTP". File system refers to a local or network file system location, whereas HTTP means an HTTP backup server. The HTTP backup servers, or Endpoint backup servers, are optional components of Miradore, and they must be installed separately. For more information, please read: How to install an Endpoint backup server. |
Status |
This field determines whether the Endpoint backup server is enabled or disabled. Only enabled backup servers can be used for storing backup files. Disabled backup servers are not shown in the Endpoint backup client for end-users. |
Hide from users |
This field defines whether this Endpoint backup server is shown to end-users in Endpoint backup client. If No, then Endpoint backup users cannot configure backup jobs to store data on this backup server. |

File storage path |
This field defines the file storage path for the Endpoint backup server. The file storage doesn't necessarily have to be located on the same computer. The backup server must have read and write permissions to the file storage path. |
Transfer block size (MB) |
This field defines in megabytes the size of the data blocks in which the backup data is transferred from a managed device to Endpoint backup server. Possible value: A natural number between 1 and 5. |
Hide from users |
This field defines whether Endpoint backup users are allowed to create their own backup jobs, which store backup data to this backup server in the user interface of Endpoint backup client. If Hide from users = Yes, the Endpoint backup users cannot use this backup server as a backup storage. However, administrators can still create backup jobs which use this backup server for storing the backup files. |

This field defines whether SSL errors are ignored or not. |
