Custom-made dashboards can be exported and imported between Miradore Management Suite instances as XML files. This way you can easily copy even large dashboards from an instance to another.
Exporting and importing dashboards requires that both Miradore Management Suite instances are running at least Miradore Management Suite version 4.5.0. Preferably, the both instances should also run exactly the same version of Miradore, but you can import dashboards from older instances to newer instances too (e.g. MMS 4.6.0 --> MMS 4.7.0). Importing of dashboards from newer instances to older instances is not supported.
Notice that if you are exporting and importing a dashboard which contains a history data collector which is based on a quality index report, you will need to export and import the related quality index reports separately because they are not included in the export file.
The setting 'Is default' is ignored in the export/import process, because the default dashboard is an environment-specific setting. If you want to change the default dashboard, please see Setting the default dashboard for all users.
Dasboards containing patch management widgets cannot be imported from Miradore 5.3.0 or older instances to Miradore 5.4.0 or newer environments.
A custom-made dashboard can be exported from Miradore Management Suite by choosing "Tasks > Export dashboard" from the Dashboard item's toolbar.
Dashboards can be imported from an XML file to a Miradore Management Suite instance in the Dashboards view by using the "Tasks > Import" tool.
During the import, you can choose to overwrite the possibly existing Dashboard items in the instance, or you can just import the entirely new dashboard items. The dashboards are identified with the unique GlobalUID attribute.
